About this Episode
What happens when homeschooling looks nothing like you expected? Stephanie Price, mom of five, joins Zan to share the surprising lessons she’s learned after five years of homeschooling — from letting go of public school pressure to discovering how each child learns best. Together, they talk honestly about hard days, mom guilt, flexible rhythms, and why a mother’s peace shapes the atmosphere of the whole homeschool. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re doing enough, this conversation will bring fresh freedom and encouragement.
Meet My Guest
STEPHANIE PRICE is a homeschool mama of five, doing my best to cultivate a peaceful, joyful, and slow-paced life … even with five kids under nine (so, you know, “peaceful” is relative). I love homeschooling because it gives me precious time with my kids and the flexibility for the lifestyle my husband and I have built over our 13 years of marriage.

At BJU Press Homeschool, we’re committed to providing children an education from a biblical worldview that is academically sound and challenges them to advance, think critically, and live like Christ. This type of education is not often possible in public schools because of the number of children taught in a classroom, a difference in worldview, and peer and societal pressure to conform. Homeschooling allows parents to instruct and disciple their children without daily fighting messages from an opposing worldview taught in the classroom. And with tuition costs and fees for private schooling or tutoring, homeschooling may be the only option for parents who are concerned for their children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
