Ana María Bagnuoli has a master’s degree in Family Counseling, a bachelor’s degree in interior design and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. Ana María, born in Bogotá, Colombia and her husband Ricardo, born in Montevideo, Uruguay have been married for 16 years and are the founders of the TransitionED ministry, a non-profit parenting school established in the United States in 2017 that trains and equips Hispanic families on how to transform their home into the best and first place of learning under biblical principles and in a creative way. Ana and Ricardo believe that education is a design and a tool to discover, nurture, and promote the purpose given by God for each child. In 2022, Ricardo and Ana created the first Hispanic Homeschool Conference “Educa Por Diseño” in the country that brought together hundreds of people in Miami, FL, including leaders at the local, national, and international level. Ricardo and Ana have become pioneers in the Hispanic homeschooling community with over 13 years of experience as educators, ministers, and entrepreneurs.
After moving to the United States over 20 years ago, they learned from scratch what homeschooling really is. In 2012, they discovered homeschooling through a workshop and made the decision to follow the call to become their children’s mentors and primary teachers. They are parents of three homeschoolers ages 9, 11, and 13 with whom they have traveled over twenty-five states by RV in the past 3 years. They have a strong academic and business background that has helped them implement homeschooling effectively and productively in their own home. They enjoy watching other families grow, like cooking together, reading, writing, doing business, and camping outdoors.

Podcast Sponsor
At BJU Press Homeschool, we’re committed to providing children an education from a biblical worldview that is academically sound and challenges them to advance, think critically, and live like Christ. This type of education is not often possible in public schools because of the number of children taught in a classroom, a difference in worldview, and peer and societal pressure to conform. Homeschooling allows parents to instruct and disciple their children without daily fighting messages from an opposing worldview taught in the classroom. And with tuition costs and fees for private schooling or tutoring, homeschooling may be the only option for parents who are concerned for their children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
