When You Homeschool, the World Is Your Classroom | Suzanne Nunn | Ep. 096

Meet My Guest

Suzanne Nunn has a passion for homeschooling and for helping to equip others who want to homeschool their children. After 13 years of teaching in public and private school, serving as a peer mentor to new teachers, and co-writing several curriculums, Suzanne was called to begin a homeschooling journey with her own children. With more than 15 years of successful homeschooling experience, Suzanne’s passion to help others begin and succeed in their own homeschool journey has been realized as she has served in her local support group and is now serving as Chairman of the Board and and Director of Events for Florida Parent Educators Association (FPEA). Suzanne has a Bachelors of Arts degree with an emphasis in History Education from the University of West Florida and has a wide range of professional experience from classroom teacher, house parent at Florida Baptist Children’s Home, to licensed real estate salesperson, and event planner. She is married to Michael and they have five children. Suzanne writes, speaks, and podcasts about everything that she is passionate about … and then some. Connect with Suzanne on all FPEA platforms and at all FPEA events.

At BJU Press Homeschool, we’re committed to providing children an education from a biblical worldview that is academically sound and challenges them to advance, think critically, and live like Christ. This type of education is not often possible in public schools because of the number of children taught in a classroom, a difference in worldview, and peer and societal pressure to conform. Homeschooling allows parents to instruct and disciple their children without daily fighting messages from an opposing worldview taught in the classroom. And with tuition costs and fees for private schooling or tutoring, homeschooling may be the only option for parents who are concerned for their children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
