About this Episode

Veronica Whitley was deadset against homeschooling, but writing a college research paper on the topic totally changed her mind. Together, Zan Tyler and Veronica share personal experiences and invaluable insights about fostering a love for learning in your children, capitalizing on their passions and interests, and adapting curriculum to fit their learning styles. Join us and find out why homeschooling is truly a love-your-kids movement.

Meet My Guest

Veronica Whitley is a pastor’s wife, and homeschool mom of 4. She has B.A. in Christian Education, from The Master’s University, and is passionate about viewing academics through the lens of Scripture. While she once said she would never homeschool, today, she has been homeschooling for 14 years. And, as a HomeWorks by Precept Consultant, she also has the privilege of helping, encouraging, and walking alongside other homeschool moms. When she is not homeschooling, she is usually cheering on her kids from the sidelines of their extra-curricular activities. A homebody at heart, she loves being at home and spending time with her family. And, she can almost always be found with a cup of coffee in hand.

Podcast Sponsor

At BJU Press Homeschool, we’re committed to providing children an education from a biblical worldview that is academically sound and challenges them to advance, think critically, and live like Christ. This type of education is not often possible in public schools because of the number of children taught in a classroom, a difference in worldview, and peer and societal pressure to conform. Homeschooling allows parents to instruct and disciple their children without daily fighting messages from an opposing worldview taught in the classroom. And with tuition costs and fees for private schooling or tutoring, homeschooling may be the only option for parents who are concerned for their children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
